The Amenta was formed in the year 2000, in Sydney, Australia, from the remnants of respective defunct death and black metallic element bands. Seeking to, in their have actor's line, "body forth a newly long time of extremism," the group's by choice anonymous members proceeded to synthesize elements of calamitous, death, obscure, ambient, and industrial alloy into their 2002 demo/EP Mictlan. A good track record record album, the obscurely named Occasus followed 2 eld later, and was released by French label Listenable Records.
